Gage Clarkson

Always in Our Hearts

January 30, 2000 - July 23, 2026

We want to let family and friends know that we lost our sweet Gage on Thursday evening, July 23, 2026.

The past few days have been full of heart ache and grief, but we are finding comfort as we learn that he was living a full, happy, and fun life in the Brownsville, Oregon area. He had a huge circle of friends and coworkers that he was always spending time with, he was always busy with outdoor activities and working on his next truck project.

More than one of his friends confided in us that they and Gage were best friends. He was fun, spontaneous, and considerate and the parents of his friends always included him in family dinners and events. He had a positive impact on so many people’s lives.

He was so loved.

Gage was born January 30, 2000, in Vancouver, WA. He joined his two older brothers, Trevor and Drew. He grew up in Camas, WA. Played baseball, was on the high school golf team, loved snow skiing, water sports, fishing and off roading.

He attended Linn-Benton Community College and earned an Associate Degree as well as a Welding Certification. During COVID he interned at SteelFab, Inc. in Albany, OR and was hired as a welder after completing school. He loved his new occupation and was quickly promoted to a fitter where he excelled. He also worked for General Trailer Parts in Springfield, and most recently at SteelHead Metal and Fabrication in Salem.

We don’t know what dark moment made him decide that he was done with this chapter of life, but we are so proud of him and the young man he became. He made such a positive and kind impact on so many lives.

We love and miss him,
Matthew, Cheri, Trevor, Drew and Lauren
